RACE NOTES
The Sprint race is short - winning times will be under 15 minutes - and very fast with loads of controls. Expect to have less than one minute between checkpoints on average. So quick and accurate decision making is imperative, and staying pointed in the right direction is vital. Look forward to a really fun race.
Whistler Village is a busy tourist area that hosts large events year-round. This weekend, Whistler is hosting the Wanderlust Festival, “an inspirational adventure combining yoga, music, nature, and mindfulness.” Please be respectful of the Wanderlust venues and of other people using the village. Be aware that tents and other temporary structures are not marked on the map.
Pavement is indicated with two colours. The lighter coloured pavement shows pedestrian only areas and the darker coloured pavement shows vehicle areas. It is forbidden to cross major roads indicated on the map with purple overprint except at the main footbridge.
Look for passages through buildings indicated with the grey overhang symbol. Pay attention to impassable walls (do not cross anything thick and black). Do not enter flowerbeds or any areas marked with the olive green colour. Outdoor patio areas are marked with pink overprint. It is forbidden to enter these areas.
